Hello Oakland!
My name is Barbara Lee and I have the honor of serving as Mayor of Oakland. Throughout my over three decades representing our community in Congress and the California State Legislature, I've dedicated my career to fighting for justice, opportunity, and the people who need it most. I understand Oakland's struggles because this is my home. Now, as your mayor, I bring that same unwavering commitment to tackle our most pressing challenges, from homelessness to public safety, with the experience and federal, state and local relationships needed to deliver real resources and real solutions for every Oakland resident. I can't do this work alone. It takes all of us working together, collaborating with community leaders, neighborhood organizations, businesses, and residents from every corner of our city to build a stronger Oakland for everyone.
